Anegada 2007
We were itching to discover the beaches of Anegada, which is the Spanish term for the flooded land, that had been highly recommended to us. So we finally decided to visit Anegada during our travels in the BVI. And guess what? We had the added bonus of starting our journey with "Fly BVI". We couldn't wait to explore the deserted beaches that we had heard so much about. And we weren't disappointed - Anegada's beaches were truly a sight to behold! The island is famous for its delicious crustaceans, and for good reason. The lobster is simply unbeatable. Whether you prefer it grilled, steamed, or in a classic lobster roll, you won't be disappointed. The local restaurants all serve up their own unique take on the delicacy, so be sure to try a few different spots. Trust us, your taste buds will thank you. The island is home to flamingos, rock iguanas and rare plant species like sea lavender. Offshore, the horseshoe reef is rich in marine life and dotted with shipwrecks.
